Careers | NHR-293-296, Paint Prep, 2nd Shift
The Paint Prep 2nd Shift position requires the ability to be able to perform body work on metals before entering the paint process using standard techniques such as DA, body filler, etc. to produce an acceptable surface. This includes using eliminator for removing welds and weld penetration marks and metal finishing machines/techniques (stroke standers, belt sander, and disk sander) to produce a smooth surface. The ability to study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences is also required. Must be able to move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
Grinding and Finishing: Stroke sander, Belt sander, DA; Technology: Data base user interface and query software (FileMaker)
Education: High School, Vocational School; Experience & Job Training: On-the-job experience.
