The Detailer 2 is responsible for creating the necessary fabrication and installation drawings as required by Project Management, learning and developing experience with the product type, understanding drawing formats, numbering systems, submittals and revisions.  You should have experience with fabrication, installation and basic construction techniques and the ability to develop ideas and/or methods for fabrication, conceive and weigh feasibility issues, and real world circumstances.  Understand and take responsibility for stringent timelines and due dates.  Attention to detail when revising drawings, maintain accuracy with markups, dimensions and views is key.  Understand basic procurement practices and procedures. 
 
Computer aided design CAD software: AutoCad 2014,  Autodesk Inventor 2014, Adobe Illustrator.  Enterprise resource planning ERP software: FileMaker proprietary software.  Word processing software: Microsoft Word; MS Office Suite.
 
Training: 3+ years Minimum knowledge of the required software (AutoCad, Illustrator, Windows platform, etc.).  Education: Associate degree in Design Engineering preferred. Experience & Job Training: 3+ years of experience working as a detailer in the fabrication industry, working knowledge of metal fabrication, working knowledge of construction/installation processes.
