- Production - Operator (1st or 2nd Shift)
- Programs and operate CNC machinery such as turret, router, brakes, rolls, and shears to bend, cut, form, mill, punch, drill, or otherwise form metal components.
- Assembles components into complete units using hand and power tools as needed.
- Assists with various tasks related to cutting, forming, assembly, painting, and general labor duties.
- Prepares and paints products to meet the project specifications.
- Packages and ships products and assists with general labor duties throughout facility.
- Maintains company facilities, machinery, equipment, and vehicles.
- Coordinates outside vendors for servicing of items when needed.
- Splits workweek between two company locations as required.
- Work with customers and Sales at time of bid to create a plan for the execution of project and then upon award work with Project Management, Design and Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure the plan is followed and provided additional planning on an as needed basis.
- Develop preliminary drawings to be used as both a sales tool at time of bid and upon award as a basis for submittal and fabrication drawings.
- Develop fabrication estimates which plan for equipment, material, labor, and logistics constraints.
- Develop installation estimates which plan for equipment and labor constraints.
- Perform Preconstruction Phase Activities including Design Assist Project Management, Submittals, Etc.
- Creates fabrication and installation drawings as required by project.
- Develops details for standard and custom products.
- Coordinate, directs, supervises and controls all aspects of assigned projects from kick-off through construction, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Responsible for coordination of risk management of contract related to all aspects of construction, schedule, safety, etc.
- Consult with Architect, Engineers, Owners Representatives, General Contractors and relevant stakeholders to prepare and execute project specifications and ensure contractual compliance. Coordinate negotiations of said items with guidance and input from Senior PM staff.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and cost estimates or findings internally or to clients.
- Review and coordinate the approval of product design and changes based on best practices, value engineering and/or contractual requirements in conjunction with Senior PM Staff.
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, RFI’s, NCW’s, Submittals, Variance Reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services relative to project budgets.
- Must possess a “muddy boots” attitude and be willing to get involved and push things through to completion when and where required. Have the ability to be in both a leading and supporting role as the situation dictates.
- Ability to read shop drawings, existing architectural, civil/structural drawings, and related drawings.
- Must have experience in construction and/or manufacturing.
- Expedite deliveries of materials, services and equipment to meet scheduled dates as set by Planning.
- Organizes production and installation information for specified projects
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job paperwork, drawings and plans to proper shop personnel.
- Responsible for all production status communication with all company departments, and primarily the Project Management Department,
- Monitors work flow for Production and Project Management Departments by monitoring steps of the process; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods.
