pre-treatment
Prior to painting parts must be properly cleaned and pre-treated to ensure intended performance. Bunting's pre-treatment operation consists of the following:
painting
Bunting applies all paint using the electrostatic spray process resulting in the highest efficient and quality possible. Parts are racked on the line and travel booth to booth to be painted on all sides without the need to touch or re-rack the parts.
curing
After painting is complete the parts are allowed to flash-off for the proper amount of time before entering the curing oven. Bunting's gas powered convection oven features multiple stages. Dwell times vary based on the material thickness and coating types and can reach a peak metal temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit for at least five minutes.
quality
After parts exit the cure oven materials are inspected by our quality assurance department for color, gloss, mil thickness, appearance, and multiple other performance specifications.
